We have helped to try and cure cancer faster with the help of our family, friends and F.G.Y.C by running 5k on a hot day. It was a well hot day on Sunday 26th June 2005 at Old Deer Park, Richmond.
We all made tops with the Breast cancer ribbon, and the F.G.Y.C logo and ironed them on to are tops, so we all looked the Best! Ok then ill leave it as we look real good! Oh apart from one staff member (not mentioning any names) that managed to iron the F.G.Y.C logo on the wrong way GEMMA!!
The day was very emotional watching people take part with signs on there back and people running for mums, daughters, aunts, Nan's and friends who have got breast cancer, or beaten cancer and even died of cancer. There was 2 little girls who looked about 8 that were running for their mum, and there was people who couldn't walk properly, but still took part. We all had a really good day (apart from some of us getting really burnt), it was really emotional, but rewarding day, that some of us want to do the 10k run in 2006.
The staff that participated and that are in the photo below were: Charlie H, Gemma C, Kerry P and Tara B.
The young people who participated and that are in the photo below were: Claire C, Emma S, Holly H, Katie C, Louise N, Sally B and Steph C.
