CHALLENGERS

Since Easter 2005 Disability Challengers and FGYC have worked together to provide personal development opportunities for young disabled people using the fantastic facilities at Frimley Green Youth Centre as a base.

FGYC provides free use of Frimley Green Youth Centre for the Challengers programme during the Easter school holidays (8 days) and summer school holidays (15 days) together with providing a minimum of two experienced Youth Workers to work alongside the Challengers staff team for each day (10am-4pm).

Working together Challengers and FGYC have provided new opportunities for over 100 young disabled people. Young people have been involved in new and exciting opportunities such as film making, drama, sport, canoeing, raft building, team challenges and high/low ropes course together with opportunities to just chill out with old and new friends.
