The Scooter Project aims to provide opportunities for young people to develop their skills in basic mechanics, workshop health & safety, finance & budgeting, panel beating and working as a team.

The idea is to purchase an old scooter off  E.Bay, dismantle the body work and engine, rebuild and repair bodywork and engine with new or reconditioned parts. Once the scooter is back to MOT standard the scooter will be sold again on E.Bay with the funds raised from the sale used to purchase another scooter to work on and repeat this process with a new group of young people.

Funding from the Youth Development Service Ofsted Improvement Plan helped us to purchase the following 2 scooters, hydraulic workbench, tools and toolbox, compressor and parts cleaner.

Here's how the project has been progressing so far...

ok so where do we start then?
