Girls weekend away! :):)

 

 

On the Friday 13^th of June eight young women went on a sexual health weekend to Avon Tyrrell. Lucy M, Abbie, Erin, Lucy S, Hannah, Jemma, Katie and Shelby were the girls that took part in two activities, kayaking and zip wire, we also did five workshops, which included:

We also went out on Saturday night to Bournemouth and had a meal in a restaurant called hot rocks. On the weekend we all learnt a lot and had a great time. We felt that we learnt more there than in a whole term of school and it was useful stuff that we needed to know. We also learnt where to go for help and advice and where we can go for free condoms and tests for STIs. We were also told in which different ways alcohol can affect us and our decisions. We didn’t want to leave at the end of our weekend, as we all had such a fun and interesting time. If we were given the chance to go again we would take it and we would also encourage more young people to get involved.
